“My Smooth Fluid Surface” HDA was created while I was working on my river project. After meshing my fluids, I found out that there was a lot of noise in areas of water that were calm. That’s why I created this quick HDA to smooth out those areas, and I can also use it in other projects.

The Tool is fairly simple. It reads in the velocity attribute on the mesh and smooths out the areas based on the velocity by the Mask ramp. The speed determines the range of the effectiveness and the smooth amount is the overall strength of the smoothness.
The visualize mask checkbox allows the user to visualize how much the mesh is being smoothed.
