For this project, we have to create a procedural animation, so I decided to make a coin sorter based on a YouTube tutorial I saw. I made the coins with the Houdini RBD bullet simulation.
The problem I ran into was the scale of the simulation. Originally, I tried the simulation with a real-world accurate scale, but the coins are jumping everywhere and passing through the cardboard. I tried to fix it with collision padding and other things, but it didn’t work out, so I ended up changing the scale and increasing the gravity instead.
I was responsible for all aspects except for the textures, it was rendered in Mantra.
